Alguien me contaba que te podías subir a los aviones de Andes y venir parado junto a la carga, igual que un bus, tiempos aquellos de la aviación poco supervisada ecuatoriana. Estas aerolíneas realmente dan pena que hayan desaparecido.

Rodolfo, el 707 en SELT fue destruido hace ya unos 3 años.

Espero les guste las siguientes fotos tomadas en Abril 1983, en la plataforma de AECA en Guayaquil. Tuve la suerte de experimentar un vuelo "gratis" GYE-MIA que duro cerca de 6 horas con un cargamento de camarones. El frio dentro de la cabina, ruido de las turbinas, y olor fueron una experiencia muy interesante. Efectivamente, la mayor parte del vuelo "de pie". Solo dos literas disponibles que estaban convenientemente ocupadas por otros
mas afortunados para este largo viaje. La avionica basica, dos VOR/ILS, ADF,.

El DC-8-55 HC BKN de AECA en Guayaquil en Diciembre 1983 durante los trabajos de reconstruccion
de la pista. Nueve meses mas tarde sufre el accidente catastrofico durante el decolaje en Quito.

JJ, mencionas que no tenía AP el Cl-44, increible si es así como podían volar.

Nico,
Si la memoria no me abandona, la foto corresponde a la plataforma de AECA en GYE, ahora de LAN.
Aparecen un TAXI Moskvitch, la Furgoneta Ford Econoline del personal de AECA y finalmente
un Piper PA-25 Pawnee de fumigacion. La "instamatic" de la epoca no ayuda mucho con los detalles. Este avion era fabuloso!!!!

Si señor, si la vista no me falla, uno de esos pequeños almacenes de la FAE aun esta en pie en la base aerea de Guayaquil.

Esas fotos de los paneles de CL44 son muy raras..... el taxi Moskvich... rarisimo.... ya es muy muy dificil verlos todavia por Quito :)

Interesante la toma de la cabina del avion.
La foto con el DC-8 en la pista, definitivamente es Guayaquil.
