After a long pause because of summer, I found finally a little time to prepare some photographs from HAF W&R.

Many people don´t know it, but you can find in Greece exactly 265 ex military planes and helicopters preserved around the country, in towns and villages or stored at the different air bases!
Most of them are F-5 Freedom Fighters and F-104 Starfighters. With the retirement of the A-7H Corsair II and F-4E SRA Phantom II in the last years, I suppose we will see in the forthcoming years, more and more of this nice planes poping up in locations throughout the country.

So, plenty to discover and to photograph in Greece

Below, a small selection of some of them. If you want any special type or you have some question, don´t hesitate to ask! I will continue the next days, with other types.

Indeed, this camo type have only 2-3 C-47 in Greece. As you say, it´s very rare.

This Noratlas is preserved in the HAF-Museum. It was presented last year for the first time to the public, after spending 3 years to restore it!

And now, let´s continue with some colorfull birds. The Hellenic Sabre´s are amongst the most colorfull planes ever flying with the HAF!

Thanks again, yes the T-33 and T-6 was principals aircrafts on our Air Force, and NosAtlas, flow in Atesa air line.

I have heard, that 2-3 Noratlas should be stored/dumped somewhere at a airport in the Amazonas-Region of Ecuador. Is this true?

I think the Noratlas is in somewhere in the Amazon region, however is a very isolated area and difficult to know if nowadays it is still preserved, however, last time we've heard about this plane it was in terrible shape...
